MARLIS PETERSEN | Recitals & Masterclasses

For the first time in four years, Marlis Petersen returns to the stage of the prestigious Wigmore Hall together with her long-time accompanist Stephan Matthias Lademann.
This time the pair are bringing a colorful programme entitled “Blossoms of Love”. At the heart lies probably the most well-known song cycle for female voice Frauenliebe und -Leben, op. 42 by Robert Schumann, Waltz Songs op.6 by Alexander von Zemlinsky, 6 Lieder op. 13 by Clara Schumann and selected songs by Richard Strauss.
Marlis Petersen and Stephan Matthias Lademann will give this program a month later at the beautiful Markgräfliches Opernhaus in Bayreuth.

Marlis Petersen is then invited to teach master classes as part of the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch Patenkirchen, where she will work with six young singers over four days, focusing on arias and songs by the composer.
