ANJA MITTERMÜLLER makes her debut at the Bregenz Festival

While many other festivals have already staged their opera premieres, the Bregenz Festival presents Rossini's opera buffa ‘La Cenerentola’ this week. Inspired by the well-known fairy tale ‘Cinderella’, British director Amy Lane brings the work to the stage of the Theater am Kornmarkt in a modern yet fairy-tale-like production.

With a glamorous ball as the backdrop and a magical transformation of the protagonist, a radiant appearance is created, resulting in a story full of humorous entanglements and surprising twists. Anja Mittermüller makes her role debut as Tisbe and will appear on stage alongside Aaron Godfrey-Mayes, Josef Jeongmeen Ahn, Ferhat Baday, Aitana Sanz and Jingjing Xu.

Though still in the early stages of her career, Anja Mittermüller has numerous exciting project in the coming season, including concert appearances with the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich and recitals with Julian Prégardien and András Schiff.
